Stacy Dexter, a son and two disciples recently returned from Sichuan. They had the privilege of working for an NGO setting up water filtration systems in some of the worst-hit areas. For two weeks, they trained, assembled and installed these filters that would be able to turn almost any water source into drinkable water. They are grateful to be back home safely, but even more grateful for the opportunity to serve in this terrible time of need. (Posted: 6/19/2008) Celebrating the birth of Jesus is a great opportunity to introduce many to Christ. Our Guangzhou team made the most of the opportunity this year with four separate parties, one in their home, two for factory workers and a fourth for orphans. Most in the latter three had never heard of Jesus before; the team is looking forward to much reaping in the weeks and months ahead. (Posted: 1/3/2008) A Hong Kong church fellowship recently sent a small group to visit the TEL ministry in nearby Shenzhen. They were not sure what to expect from a ministry partnering with the Three-Self Church, so were surprised by what they saw. They joined our colaborers for games and singing in a park (for outreach), a leaders Bible study, Sunday morning service and a youth fellowship. We trust we've left some deep impressions about opportunities for ministry in China! (Posted: 5/30/2007) Jeff, a disciple of the Dexters, celebrated the New Year with about 40 factory workers from nearby Panyu. They spent the day biking and hiking and fellowshipping over a barbecue. Many of those who joined the party were new to the Gospel, and all were interested in learning more. (Posted: 2/7/2007)
